2019 Bankfield Valley Rutherford
Cabernet Sauvignon Barrel #19112

The 2019 Bankfield Valley Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon Barrel #19112 is a Single Barrel Bordeaux style blend of 94.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3.25% Petit Verdot, 0.75% Merlot, 1.0% Malbec, and 0.5% Cabernet Franc. Aged in 100% New French Oak for 22 months. The Barrel Aging regimen began in a Bossuet Oak Barrel that exhibited great pairing qualities for the 2019 harvest of our Rutherford grapes.  The source of our grapes is from the northern part of Rutherford, across the street from St-Helena. The terroir of heavier clay soils here produces deep berry flavors from these ultra-premium clone 337 grapes.

This Cabernet is approachable in youth yet will age soundly for 15+ years. Primary fruit flavors of succulent boysenberry pie and dark raspberry. A round full weighted mid-palate yearns for a Charcuterie platter.  The tannins are grippy and can be considered a mix between lush valley floor tannins and smaller hillside tannins. A lengthy mocha espresso finish is already present and will continue to develop over the next decade. 25 Cases made, Single Barrel.

2019 Bankfield Valley Oak Knoll
Cabernet Sauvignon Barrel #19107

The 2019 Bankfield Valley Oak Knoll Cabernet Sauvignon Barrel #19107 is a Single Barrel Bordeaux style Cabernet Sauvignon with a final Blend of 94.75% Cab Sauv, 2% Petit Verdot, 1.5% Merlot, 1.25% Malbec, 0.5% and Cab Franc. Aged in 100% New French Oak for 22 months. The grapes were harvested from Oak Knoll and exhibit qualities that would pair well with a Vicard Oak Barrel (#19107) to start our oak aging process.  The sold out 2018 Valley Oak Knoll gave us high hopes for the 2019 and with another perfect harvest, we were once again able to bottle a fully-weighted, perfectly balanced wine. Blackberry and fig dominate the primary flavors with bright acidity and a fully rounded tannin structure on the nice long finish. This Wine was created with the specific purpose of being the first Cabernet of the evening. It is a perfect "Palate Primer" as the tannins in this wine amplify the layers in other bolder cabernets. Enjoy this wine with Triple Cream Cheeses, fig jam, and crisp crackers. Then, let it show you the flavors of your next choice of the evening! 25 Cases made, Single Barrel.

The 2019 Bankfield Hillside Cabernet Sauvignon Barrel #1921 is one of three Single Barrel Bordeaux Style Blends that vary by less than 1%. 2019 Bankfield Valley
Oakville Reserve Barrel #1928

The 2019 Harvest produced an exceptional Valley wine from Oakville and has such been deemed a Reserve. This is the first Bankfield Valley Reserve and exhibits all the characteristics of Valley floor perfection. A lush, soft tannin expression of Red and Black Cherry-Raz fruit combined with creamy chocolate mocha. This wine pairs perfectly with itself! You probably will not want to share. We decided to leave it in the barrel a little longer since during our blending session it seemed to have been developing a texture that was still evolving. I am so glad we waited and re-performed the blending session 1 month before bottling. The new blending session revealed a wine that can very well be given perfect scores. Final Blend: 95.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% PV, 0.75% Merlot, 0.75% Malbec, and 1% Cab Franc. 26 months in New Sansaud Oak.

2020 Bankfield Creekside Cerise
Pinot Noir

The 2020 Creekside Cerise Pinot Noir will once again be stunning, aromatic, fresh, and vibrant. Creekside Cerise Pinot Noir is made to from a mix of Clone 4 Pommard and Clone 667 Pinot Noir grapes that sit on the eastern edge of the Petaluma Gap at Rodgers Creek Vineyard. The constant wind allows the block of grapes to get more days on the vine which allows for a more uniform ripening and translates into a beautiful food friendly wine.  The secret to our Pinot lies in the details of the blending session. Dialing in just the right amount of fruit flavor to complement this bolder burgundian style of Pinot creates a full mouthfeel with a light, lingering, refreshing finish. We selected a 2nd year Damy Oak Barrel to create just the right amount of mouthfeel with a light fully integrated Oak. As with many great Pinot Noirs, we use whole cluster fermentation but hand select only the best clusters that are deemed perfect for whole cluster fermentation. Pair with salmon, a pork chop & mushroom risotto, or even some nice grilled vegetables. Light Charcuterie Heaven! 25 Cases made, Single Barrel.

2021 Bankfield Seaside Citrus Blast
Sauvignon Blanc

We are so pleased to introduce to you our 2021 Bankfield Seaside Citrus Blast Sauvignon Blanc.  The goal that Laura and I had was two-fold.  We wanted to make a Sauvignon Blanc that would be the ultimate partner to zesty vinaigrette based green salads and have enough zingy acidity to balance out fish, lobster, and crab cakes.  With these goals in mind we were very fortunate to obtain premium grapes from a beautiful Napa vineyard in Yountville that had the profile we were looking for.  Notes of fresh grapefruit on the nose quickly becomes a citrus blast that flows seamlessly into a balanced layered mineral finish.  On a hot summer day this refreshing Sauv Blanc is also great with fresh cut fruit or ceviche.  Enjoy.
